库切《男孩》的翻译问题
而不断催稿，甚至“逼稿”，使译者看错因而译错了一些单词。现选列如下：将“hotel”（P.42，宾馆）译成“青年旅社”（hostel，48页）；将“twentyeight”（P.49，二十八）译为“三十八”（56页）；将“comics”（P. 70，漫画）译为“动画”（82页）；将“thirty”（P.106，三十）看成“thirsty”（125页）；将“watch”（P.110，看着吧）译为“比赛”（match，130页）；将“explanation”（P.143，解释）译成“考试”（examination，170页）。除了以上笔者认为是误译的地方，《男孩》中还漏译了一些内容，现将其圈出，补译如下，以引珠玉：Trevelyan had the best room， the one with French windows opening on to the stoep. （He was young， he was tall， he was friendly， he could not speak a word of Afrikaans， he was English though and through. ）In the mornings Trevelyan had breakfast in the kitchen before going off to work； （P.73）试译：崔威连租了最好的房间，也就是在门廊一侧开着法式窗户的那间房。（他年轻、友善，身材高挑，连半句阿非利堪语都不会说，是一个彻头彻
